Kamailio (OpenSER) project development is now tight related to the evolution of SIP Router project. Thanks to a productive integration work in 2009, Kamailio 3.0.0 was first version based on source code of SIP Router. Our entire team is continuing the development on SIP Router GIT repository, future Kamailio versions to be based on that source code tree.

Therefore the management of Kamailio (OpenSER) focuses now mainly in areas like advocating and promoting the project, development decision being done within SIP Router. Together with the rest of SIP Router team, we are considering to join a foundation or similar organization to manage project resources such as trademarks, domain names, servers in a transparent manner. 

Members of project management council since Kamailio (OpenSER) project was created in 2005:

• Daniel-Constantin Mierla - co-founder and core developer of OpenSER and SER projects
• Elena-Ramona Modroiu - co-founder of OpenSER project and contributor of SER
• Henning Westerholt - active member and contributor of OpenSER project
  
• Juha Heinanen - active member and contributor of the OpenSER and SER projects
• Klaus Darilion - active member and contributor of the OpenSER and SER projects
