The page contains the details about the changes that were made to old components during the development of v4.3.0 compared with what existed in v4.2.x. It does not include the brand new modules, focusing on how to upgrade database and configuration file from v4.2.x to run with Kamailio devel.

Following tokens are used to mark the changes:

• INF - the change doesn't really have any direct impact - no action required in old config
• CPM - the change was used with the new value via explicit parameter in default config file from old releases
• RCM - the change is recommended to be done if you had an explicit different or lower value for this parameter in old config

• default path to control unix socket file is now: /var/run/kamailio/kamailio_ctl

• default path to fifo file is now: /var/run/kamailio/kamailio_fifo

• rtpengine_tout parameter was replaced by rtpengine_tout_ms (CPM)

• added totag field to sip_trace table
• increased sip_trace table version to 4

There are several changes to the database structure, in short:

• location (aliases) table has three new columns: server_id, connection_id, keepalive
• presentity table has a new column: priority
• sip_trace table has a new column: totag
• silo table changed defaults: body and extra_hdrs have no default. BLOB or TEXT have no default. ( See https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/blob.html )
• acc_cdrs table uses proper data types for: start_time, end_time, duration. acc_cdrs needs to be empty due to this change.
