New developer: Richard Good

Kamailio Development NewsKamailio project is pleased to announce that a new person joined the development team, getting GIT write access to repository: Richard Good.

He is among those developing the IMS extensions for Kamailio (http://code.google.com/p/smile-ims-extensions/), to be merged in the next days to the GIT master branch.

His git commit id is: richard.good

Our warm welcome and looking forward to future work within the project!

Short History

The initial name of the project was SIP Express Router (aka SER), started in 2001 by Fraunhofer Fokus Research Institute and released under GPLv2 in 2002. In 2005, OpenSER project spawned from SER and had to change the name to Kamailio in summer of 2008 due to trademark claims. During the autumn of 2008, Kamailio and SER teams decided to join back the projects and use further the Kamailio name.
