March 30, 2016: Kamailio v4.4.0 is out – a new major release, bringing out new features and improvements added during about seven months of development and one and a half month of testing.
In short, this major release brings 9 new modules and enhancements to more than 60 existing modules, plus components of the core and internal libraries. Detailed release notes are available at:
The release series 4.4.x is expected to be the last starting with number 4, next major release is planned to be 5.0.0, which should get Kamailio to a new era — there are already ongoing discussions on users mailing list about the changes to be done as well as a wiki page was created to collect the relevant ideas for 5.0.x.
